How Do I Find the Loan Period in ONESearch?

When you search for an item in ONESearch, click on the title to open the record page:

ONESearch results page indicating title of item

On the record page, click on "Check Shelf" on the left side of the page or scroll down the page to "Check Shelf":

Here is where to find the call number, availability, and loan period.
For items in the Teaching Material Center (TMC), the loan period is generally 4 weeks:

Student loan period for a TMC book is 4 weeks

Books from the Main Collection (not the TMC) is generally 16 weeks:

Loan period for a book from the Main Collection is 16 weeks

If the end of the semester is less than 16 weeks (or less than 4 weeks for TMC items) from today's date, it will show the loan period as "End of Semester" and you can only borrow the item until the last day of the semester:

Student loan period is "end of semester"

Interlibrary loan due dates are assigned by the lending library rather than SUNY Cortland. For more information, please see the Interlibrary Loan page.

Faculty have a longer loan period than students. Community borrowers may only borrow physical books for 4 weeks.
