The length of time you can borrow library items (loan period) depends on whether you are a Cortland student, faculty, staff, or community user and what you are borrowing.
Teaching Materials Center (TMC) items loan period: 4 weeks OR end of semester, whichever is first.
Main Collection items loan period: 16 weeks OR end of semester, whichever is first.
Faculty have a longer loan period than students. Community borrowers have a loan period of 4 weeks for books.
