Responsibilities include development of a strategic plan that includes
- Purpose of the Archives
- Definition of the archive collection(s)
- Statement defining the Archives role in providing administrative, research and educational services to the college
- Goals with a timeline for further developing the Archives
- Resources needed to achieve the strategic initiatives of the plan
Additionally, the Committee is charged with identifying archive collections that may be distributed across the College, and making recommendations as to whether these collections should be included in the College Archives collection (either physically or virtually). The Committee will be dedicated to ensuring the ongoing commitment to collection, preservation and service of the institutional memory of SUNY Cortland.
