General Evaluation Links

Evaluating information involves identifying the type of source you're looking at, determining whether it's trustworthy, and if it fits your research need. Putting information into context within the Information Timeline can be a helpful step in the evaluation process. It's also important to distinguish primary from secondary (and even tertiary!) sources, as well as understand the difference between popular, trade, and scholarly periodicals.
