Cricut Maker and supplies

The Makerspace includes a Cricut Maker 3 and a heat press. The Cricut Maker 3 will cut a variety of materials from paper to vinyl. You can make your own t-shirts, mugs, bags, cards and more!

"With the ability to use more advanced tools, Cricut Maker gives you the freedom to make virtually any DIY project you can imagine, from 3D art to home decor, jewelry, iron-on, vinyl, paper projects, and so much more."

Cricut Procedures:

  • Memorial Library supplies the following materials for the Cricut for small projects:
    • card stock
    • permanent adhesive vinyl
    • Heat transfer vinyl
  • If you are completing a large project or multiples of the same item, you need to supply your own materials.
  • The Cricut Maker can cut a wide range of materials. Click on "Cricut Maker" at the following link for a full list: Cricut Maker Materials.
    • You may bring your own supplies as long as they fit this list. Please email makerspace@cortland.edu if you have any questions or if you need help determining what supplies you need for your project.
    • If you would like to see the library regularly supply other materials, ask. We will consider your requests.
    • To cut an image svg file into vinyl, follow the step by step procedures located in the Cricut instructions below.
  • Users should adhere to the overall Makerspace Policies at all times.
