JSTOR has excellent resources for your project and there are now AI tools incorporated into the database to support your searching and reading. We will try traditional searches AND AI-assisted searches in class today, then evaluate the results together.
JSTOR is an interdisciplinary database, so you may want to limit your results using the advanced search:
Scroll down to the Journal Filter section, and select one or more disciplines. For this project, definitely select Sociology as shown below, as well as Criminology & Criminal Justice.
Too many results? Be more specific
Too few results? Use more general terms, focus on keywords (vs a full sentence or phrase), and/or try putting in some synonyms separated by the word OR
Use the Refine Results menu on the left to narrow down your results, or to search within your results for a particular word or phrase
