Research Guides and How to Find Them

What's a Research Guide?

A research guide, also known as a "libguide", is a page created by librarians to help students find relevant resources about a subject and view contact information for librarians. Sometimes, a guide is created specifically for a class. This semester, we have created this guide to help you learn about the library and everything we can help with as you fulfill the library "tour" requirements for COR 101 virtually. 

So How Do I Access a Research Guide?

1) First, click on the Library tab in myRedDragon:

2) Next, select "Research Guides" as shown below:

3) A drop-down menu appears to pick a guide by subject. Then click "Go". This example demonstrates looking for a guide related to Physical Education:

4) Select "Physical Education: General Research Guide".

5) This is the home page.  There are tabs on top to click on to navigate to different sections of the guide. Contact information for the Physical Education liaison librarian can be found in the Contact/Help tab.

5) Sometimes, you'll notice that a guide has the different tabs located on the left side of the page. Clicking on each will allow you to view the different sections of a guide. For example, see the Research Help tab in this COR 101 guide:
