You can also sign up for a free personal subscription to the Wall Street Journal.  This is a reliable newspaper that skews to the right but would still be considered moderate.  SUNY Cortland provides access for students (up through graduation) as well as staff and faculty. 

How Can I Register?

1) Go to: https://partner.wsj.com/partner/sunycortland

2) Enter first and last name

3) Use drop-down menu to select Student, Staff, or Professor. If Student, select Graduation Year and Month.

4) Type in e-mail. Important: Use your cortland.edu e-mail address!

5) Create password (this will allow for access on devices off-campus)

Password must be 5-15 characters long, contain at least one number, and may not contain spaces, %, & or +

6) Check box agreeing to Privacy Policy, etc. as shown below:

7) Click on Create

Congratulations! You're now registered! 

  • Faculty and staff will need to refresh via the partnership url once a year. This is required by WSJ to ensure they are still affiliated with SUNY Cortland. To refresh, the user will need to visit the partnership link, wsj.com/Cortland, and sign in to their school portal. Upon successfully signing into their account, they will be directed to the WSJ homepage, thus completing the refresh. 
  • Students will have access, until their graduation month and year.
