Additional Search Tips:

  • Keywords + Library Location: 
    • Broad:
      • for "mathy" books, search "math" or "mathematics"...
      • OR, for less obviously "math" books, look for your topic of interest: for instance, cooking, sports, etc
    • Narrow:
      • specific math topics: "geometry", "addition", etc...
      • OR, for less obviously "math" books, look for your topic of interest: for instance, cooking, sports, etc
    • Under Refine Results, expand Library Location
      • TMC Easy for picture books, which are usually stories or fiction
      • TMC Fiction for YA fiction/chapter books
      • TMC Nonfiction for informational/concept books, textbooks, manipulatives, etc
  • Subject Search
    • In the Advanced Search, change the dropdown from "Any Field" to "Subject"
    • Type in your search term and run the search
    • Subjects are also available within each book's record... or under the "Refine Results" column
  • Title Search:
    • In the Advanced Search, change the dropdown from "Any Field" to "Title"
    • Use the book list links for suggested titles to search for
  • Use the Examples
    • Click on any of the example books below to see their record, which includes availability, subjects, and more info!
