"Primary sources are the raw materials of history — original documents and objects which were created at the time under study" (Source: loc.gov).
Primary source materials are a direct information source from a time in history, and include a variety of formats. This guide includes resources for using primary sources in a K-12 setting.
Use this guide to learn about and locate Jackdaws in the TMC's collection, as well as online resources with ideas on how to use primary sources in the classroom. The library also has a History Primary Resources Guide that contains even more resources to explore!
You can also look in ONESearch or a History database for items created during the historical time period that your class is studying.
