In accordance with the HR policy regarding retirement privileges, retirees in good standing retain library privileges as noted below:
Library Accounts:
Retiree's user credentials stop coming into the library system at retirement. As with graduating students, there is a lag of a few months before their accounts in the library system expire.
Retirees should reach out to the library in person or via the library@cortland.edu email address in order to extend their library system privileges, such as the ability to check out books. Retiree accounts will need to be ‘renewed’ periodically to maintain their library system access.
The loan periods for retirees remain the same as those for active faculty/staff.
Retirees have access to MyRedDragon, which would allow them to access:
Some electronic resources, such as The New York Times, are renewed through users’ cortland.edu email accounts, to which retirees also have access.
Library Computers and Printing
Retirees may use the computers in the computer labs if they are available.
Retirees who need to print can set up a WEPA account and use the WEPA printers on campus, including those in the library.
